Onboarding Procedures

I would like to know who has a formal onboarding process for newly elected council/board members and I would like to know more about their process.  I am planning to implement something in January when the majority of our Board of Supervisors members will be newly elected.Also, does anyone have formal training for incumbent council/board members each year?
