    Consent Agenda

At a recent Board meeting, we had 4 items under the “Consent Agenda”. The Board always votes on the consent items with one vote instead of voting on each item individually. After the roll call vote was taken, one of the Supervisors said he was abstaining from one of the four items because it was a conflict of interest for him. So – now I have a unanimous vote, except for one item that Supervisor ___ abstains from. I thought they should have removed the item he was abstaining on from the consent agenda and voted on it separately, but I may be wrong. How would your Council/Board/Committee have handled this?

    Thanks!
